Help & data corrections

Found an error? Know something we missed? This page explains how to contact us, how data is sourced, and what kinds of corrections and contributions we can act on.

🗂Where our data comes from
Politician profiles (wealth, cases, elections)
Official EC (Election Commission of India) affidavits filed at the time of each election. We do not modify or interpret these — the figures are what politicians themselves declared.
Manifesto promises and delivery status
Official party manifestos + cross-referenced against Government Orders, budget documents, and verified news reports. Promise status (delivered / partial / failed / ongoing) is editorially assessed.
State economic metrics (GSDP, debt, capex)
PRS Legislative Research budget analyses, NITI Aayog state reports, CAG State Finance Audit Reports, and RBI State Finances publication.
Governance log events
Verified national and regional news — The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle, The Wire, PRS, The News Minute, and official government press releases. Each entry links to a source.
Political profiles and biographies
Compiled from public record: Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha profiles, official party communications, and verified newspaper reporting. No anonymous sources.
⚠️Report a factual error

If you spot a factual error — wrong wealth figure, incorrect case status, wrong election result, or misattributed quote — email us with the specific claim and a verifiable source. We will review and correct within 5 working days where the correction is supported by official or credible data.

Include in your email:
  • The politician's name or page URL
  • The specific claim that is incorrect
  • The correct figure or fact
  • A verifiable source (link to EC affidavit, official document, or established news outlet)

📥Contribute data or information

We welcome contributions from people who have access to primary sources or local knowledge that we may have missed.

Missing politician
If a currently serving AP or TG politician is missing from our database, send us their name, constituency, party, and a link to their EC affidavit or official profile.
Governance event we missed
If a significant government action, controversy, or policy decision is not in our governance log, share the event with a date and a credible news source.
Updated EC affidavit data
Election Commission affidavit data from the most recent elections. We try to capture all 511 politicians but corrections on wealth, education, or criminal cases are always welcome.
Local context and clarification
If a policy or event is mischaracterised due to missing local context, explain what we got wrong and how it should be framed — with sources.

📋Dispute a manifesto delivery status

Promise delivery status (delivered / partial / failed / ongoing) is our editorial assessment based on available evidence. If you believe a status is wrong, we welcome challenges — but they need to be backed by a specific, verifiable source showing the scheme or policy was implemented at scale.

We mark promises as "delivered" only when there is documented evidence of rollout, budget allocation, and beneficiary receipt. Announcements and press releases alone do not qualify.

What we will not change
EC affidavit data — we report what politicians officially declared. If the declared figure is wrong, the correction must come from a new affidavit.
Removal of verified controversies or criminal cases — public accountability data cannot be removed on request. It can only be updated if the legal status has officially changed.
Manifesto promise ratings without evidence — we will not change delivery status based on political party communications alone.
Governance log entries — sourced events will not be deleted. If you believe an event is mischaracterised, we will add a clarification note alongside it.
